All Trace, all day, going up from Tupelo to Florence. Put your Flying Lady over the border in Tennessee to drive the couple of miles of the Old Trace that are still drivable.
A quick detour brings us to the Rattlesnake Saloon which is located under a big rock, and the Coon Dog Cemetary.
We’ll stay two nights in Sheffield, Florence, Tuscumbia, Muscle Shoals. They are basically the same place in north west Alabama.
On Halloween, our supper will be at the Boiler Room. It’s in a basement and has sorta little bowling and other stuff to do in a pretty retro-trendy place.
Saturday is Muscle Shoals Sound Studio where everyone who is anyone has recorded. Your choice of any or all: Ivy Green (Hellen Keller’s place), the Rosenbaum House (Frank Lloyd Wright), the Wilson Dam and Lock, or the spa. They are all right there.
